OpenAI has introduced new ways for ChatGPT users to protect their privacy
OpenAI has introduced new privacy options for ChatGPT users, allowing them to disable their conversation history by toggling a button in their account settings. This gives users the option to opt-out of having their interactions with ChatGPT used to train OpenAI’s algorithms. The change is meant to protect the privacy of users who share sensitive information with the AI chatbot.
ChatGPT has gained popularity and is being used for a variety of purposes, from travel planning to therapy. However, concerns have been raised about how corporations analyze the data entered by users. OpenAI assures users that their software removes personally sensitive information from user data.
By default, ChatGPT will still use user data to train its models and will keep the data for 30 days to detect abusive conduct. Additionally, OpenAI has announced that users can download a copy of their data, including their conversations with ChatGPT. In the coming months, the company plans to launch a corporate subscription plan that does not train on the data of individual users by default.
